附:听力录音稿 (Text 1)
M:I have to go to Professor Green’s to discuss my paper. But I,d see a film with you when I come back.
W: I,m going to the cinema right now with Jane, and I don,t think you could make it.
(Text 2)
M: What part of your work earns you the most?
W:Well,it used to be my recordings but that side has dropped a bit. And there,s never much money from the concert. Fve done some TV advertisements recently, and they bring in a big fortune.
(Text 3 )
M: Oh,you’re watching a DVD. But I want to see the news and it starts at 8 :00 pm_that’s only one hour from now.
W: Don’t worry. The DVD will finish by 7 :30.
(Text 4 )
M : Shall we send this postcard with a picture of a castle?
W :It,s not where we,re actually staying. What about a view of the beach instead? Or one of the garden pictures.
M: I think your first idea is better.
(Text 5)
M:Can I help you?
W : Hi, I just got back from a meeting and my room is a mess. No one made the bed,and there is water all over the floor in the bathroom.
M:I,m sorry, madam. I’ll send someone up right away.
(Text 6 )
M : I’m going to tell you what I plan to do with this amount of money. First,we need to buy a new house. This one is too small.
W : Buying a house doesn’t cost all of it if we borrow some money from the bank.
M: I know. And it could be a big deal to us. I prefer to make a large down payment and then our monthly payments will be small. In addition, I would like to take a trip to Europe.
W : Travelling abroad? I love this idea. We can book a family package tour. And this doesn’t cost too much.
(Text 7)
W: Peter, you,re learning to drive, aren’t you? Do you go to the A A Driving School?
M : Actually it’s called the ABC Driving School. Fve had ten lessons already and each one is fourteen pounds.
W :I see. And is the teacher’s car new?
M:Yes,and it,s not a big car,so parking is easy.
W : When are you going to take your driving test?
M : I failed it last week.
W:Did you hit something or---
M :The traffic lights were red but I didn’t see them and I couldn’t stop in time.
W : Never mind. You can take the test again. Tell me about your teacher. Is he friendly?
M : He' s OK. He' s quite young and nice to talk to,but my father will give me my next lessons.
He' s cheaper.
(Text 8 )
M: You’ll never guess, my mum and dad have just decided we’re going to live in a village. It’s so inconvenient there.
W : Why have they done that?
M : Dad says it,ll cut our living costs because houses aren’t so expensive there but I don’t see it. I mean,we’ll spend more on petrol getting to the city, won’t we?
W :But your mum and dad work at home, and you’ve got your student card for the bus. And it,s quiet living there.
M : Buses don’t often go to the countryside nowadays. I'll be stuck out there, like, with no social life.
W:Well, how about asking your parents for a motorbike to drive to school? That way they don’t have to drive you everywhere.
M:That’s perfect!
(Text 9)
M : Good evening Vanessa. You’re going to tell us about your journey.
W : Well, my husband Robert and I had worked in Hong Kong for years. We got married there six years ago and had a baby there. But last year, we gave up our jobs and decided to sail back to England, with the baby.
M: And how long did it take you to get ready for the trip?
W:We had six months to get everything we needed. My friends didn’t believe I could live in such a small place, but I was happy about that. I was most anxious about the baby’s health and I started collecting medicines.
M : And your first stop was Singapore?
W: Yes. I hadn’t expected to hit bad weather so soon. We,d no worries about the boat though. In fact, when we reached Singapore, I considered flying home to England, but luckily decided not to. We spent six boring weeks in Singapore waiting for the weather to improve.
M : And you were joined by your father-in-law?
W: Yes,my father-in-law joined us with a friend of his, who5s a cook. My father-in-law helped us a lot. He was very happy to take care of the baby while we sailed the boat.
(Text 10)
W:We had a clothes show at my school last week. It was really great! Some of us were talking about it in our art class, and we asked the teacher if it was a good idea. Funnily enough,it was my maths teacher who helped us to plan and run it. Her daughter is a dress designer,so she knows quite a lot about it.
We wanted to raise some money for the school. The school library always needs more books, but this show was organized to pay for some lights in the computer area of the library.
We’d never done anything like it before,so we looked at magazines. But we didn’t find much there. It was all too professional for us. In fact, we found more useful suggestions on some websites, because other people of our age had done the same sort of thing and written about it.
One idea we got that way was to do something fun right at the beginning of the show. So we decided to go for hats—everybody at the show, including members of the audience, was asked to wear one for the first half hour. People decorated them in all sorts of ways,or else they matched them with their jackets or their dresses. It turned out to be a great start to the evening.
All in all,it was a successful evening.
